Ethical Decision-Making in Physical Therapy

 Introduction to Course

Welcome to this online continuing education course on ethics for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.  This course meets the two-hour ethics and professional responsibility continuing education requirement for license renewal purposes for Texas PTs and PTAs. To successfully complete this course, you must read all sections of this online course, score at least 80% on the end-of-course evaluation and pay the required fee ($25 for TPTA members and $40 for non-members).

Learner Objectives

The objectives of this course are to:

Review the theoretical basis for ethical decision-making

bullet

Relate laws and regulations to ethical decision-making

bullet

Develop a better understanding of the APTA Code of Ethics and other documents that can serve as a basis for making ethical decisions

bullet

Apply laws, regulations and codes to hypothetical case studies 

How to Use This Course

You should allow at least two hours to complete this course. You may complete the course in a single sitting, or you may complete it in two or more sessions.
